Prison Surprise: The Ex-President Bolsonaro Confronts Time Behind Bars

Sixty days subsequent to getting a quarter-century plus sentence for attempting to “eradicate” Brazil’s political system, one-time leader Jair Bolsonaro now seems jail-bound.

Supporters Speak Out
He is not the lone figure speaking out ahead of the one-time head of state's predicted imprisonment.
Authoring in a major daily, a different supporter, the former cabinet member Fábio Wajngarten, deplored the “brutal” finale to Bolsonaro’s “flawless” political career and asserted Brazil was about to experience “the largest political injustice in its history”.
“It is an wrong that erodes the hearts of millions Brazilian citizens,” Wajngarten wrote.
Divided Popular Opinion
