Football Analyst Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

Arsenal's 10-game winning streak was ended by the Black Cats before the global hiatus, however will the Premier League leaders recover against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still find a way to win."

The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against artificial intelligence, readers and a variety of guests.

For the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

The singer's new album, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a featured player of multiple charity football matches down the years - but he is not intending a professional return as a player.

"{I recently played in a benefit game the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I still love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."

The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their manager.

"I won't push football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday football side," he added.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for several years and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to be patient for their star's comeback from injury but their attack is now stronger with Pedro and Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be quite tight, however. Burnley are well organised and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

It smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their previous couple matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, West Ham secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear competitive again.

The Hammers' only away victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in August, when West Ham boss Nuno was previously Forest manager.

So, what exactly do I go with here - will it be West Ham continuing their run under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season started, but they have surprised a several observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their past four games.

My son advised me to select Brentford forward Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much fortune on the road this term, and the Seagulls are always strong at home. The visitors will try to attack on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's side carry much more of a danger.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

Olly's prediction: This could be a match where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six matches.

They have have lots of talent in their squad but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.

Their performance in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We have not seen anyone else rough up the North London side like that this term, and they were more than a match for them.

The logical choice would be to back the visitors here, because they are clearly capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the end of October.

However I am not do that. Instead, I really need to carry on opposing the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they clearly love to prove me wrong.

Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the sole team they have lost to is Arsenal. Their manager's side will be absolutely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a poor run... but they have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to call. The Reds have lost seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but might they be among the teams who benefit from the {international break|
